Knives

High carbon sawblade steel or spring steel is hand-forged in a coal forge, hardened and tempered to hold a fine edge. Brass rivets hold the unusual Maine wood and/or antler handles. A heavy leather sheath is included with all knives. We can substitute a beaver tail case for the Sami knife at additional cost.

A variety of wood types are available for handles - curly maple, bird's eye maple, birch burl, oak burl, cherry burl, or wild plum. Knife handles are also available with deer antler at the end.
